Keeping a Scotsman running longer
Use water filtration matched to your water, and clean and sanitize the machine on the schedule in the manual or more often if you notice scale. A garage fan or a vent near the ceiling can take the edge off summer heat for appliances that live out there. On the coast, a little dielectric grease on accessible terminals during service slows corrosion considerably.
When you call, have the model and serial, the symptom, and when it started; a photo of any error code helps too.
Repair Service Shaped Around San Diego Homes
Homes in Mira Mesa range across 1970s and '80s tract homes and condos, and we repair Scotsman appliances in all of them. In condos the laundry is often a stacked or compact unit in a closet, so a model number or a photo of the space helps us plan the visit. Nothing is repaired until you've approved a written estimate, and the work is covered by a 90-day parts and 30-day labor warranty. If your Scotsman is still under the manufacturer's warranty, contact Scotsman first so the repair is covered.
