A Kenmore stove that's acting up in National City usually has one of a handful of known faults, and most can be repaired in your home. With Naval Base San Diego next door and frequent military moves, many rentals come with appliances left behind by a previous occupant; a model and serial number helps us source parts. We're an independent repair company: you see a written estimate first, and finished repairs carry a 90-day parts and 30-day labor warranty.

What National City does to a stove
If a gas stove ever smells of gas, leave the house and call SDG&E or 911 from outside before anything else. Short of that, a burner that clicks but won't light is usually a dirty or cracked igniter, and an oven that won't heat is often a weak igniter or a failed element.
Problems worth ruling out first on a stove in National City:
- Burner Not Heating
- Gas Odor from Stove
- Gas Burner Not Lighting
- Oven Section Not Heating
- Surface Element Not Heating
- Burner Weak on One Side of Grate
Known weak spots on Kenmore stoves
- One coil dead
- Burner will not light
- Element only heats on high
- Sparking at the socket
What Kenmore builds into its stoves shapes the repair: the cooktop on a freestanding Kenmore stove is usually coil or smooth-top electric, or a sealed-burner gas top, built by Frigidaire or Whirlpool.
