If your La Cornue cooktop has stopped doing its job, we can come out to your home in Point Loma, find the fault and fix it on site whenever the part is in hand. Some hillside homes have steep driveways or long stairways, which is worth mentioning if a large appliance may need to be moved. Nothing is repaired until you've approved a written estimate, and the work is covered by a 90-day parts and 30-day labor warranty.

Local factors for cooktop repair in Point Loma
If a gas cooktop ever smells of gas, leave the house and call SDG&E or 911 from outside before anything else. Short of that, a burner that clicks but won't light is usually a dirty or cracked igniter, and an oven that won't heat is often a weak igniter or a failed element.
Problems worth ruling out first on a cooktop in Point Loma:
- Burner Not Working
- Gas Smell
- Gas Burner Not Lighting
- All Gas Burners Not Lighting
- Electric Burner Not Heating
- Induction Burner Not Working
Known weak spots on La Cornue cooktops
- Burner goes out after lighting
- French top heating unevenly
- Igniter clicking
- Induction module error
French tops heat a solid plate from a burner underneath, so uneven heat across the plate can come from a dirty burner or a partly blocked port rather than the plate itself. Gas burners use thermocouples that hold the valve open only while a flame is detected, and a weak thermocouple causes burners to go out after lighting. Induction or plancha modules have their own electronics and are diagnosed separately from the gas side.
