GE microwaves have their own weak points, and knowing them shortens the diagnosis. That's what a repair visit in Santee starts with. Garage-installed refrigerators and freezers are common here, and on a hot afternoon a garage can run far warmer than these units are built for. Nothing is repaired until you've approved a written estimate, and the work is covered by a 90-day parts and 30-day labor warranty.

Microwave conditions in Santee
Over-the-range microwaves pull grease and steam from the cooktop below, so a clogged grease filter or a failing vent fan is as common a complaint as a unit that won't heat.
Problems worth ruling out first on a microwave in Santee:
- Microwave Not Heating
- Sparking Inside
- Turntable Not Spinning
- Sparking Inside Microwave
- Turntable Making Grinding Noise
- Over-Range Microwave Ventilation Poor
Known weak spots on GE microwaves
- Runs but does not heat
- Touchpad not responding
- Vent fan or light not working
- Door switch fault stops the unit
Across the GE microwave lineup, the recurring failures are magnetrons and high-voltage diodes, door interlock switches, touchpads, and vent fan motors on over-the-range units. The symptoms that bring us out include runs but does not heat, touchpad not responding, and vent fan or light not working. If an over-the-range unit runs but does not heat, stop using it and leave it unplugged; testing the high-voltage side is not a homeowner job. A microwave that trips the breaker when the door opens or closes usually has a failed door switch or monitor switch.
