Dryer conditions in University City
A dryer that takes two cycles is usually telling you about airflow: a clogged lint path, a crushed vent hose, or a long duct run to the outside. We check those before blaming the heating element or gas valve.
Problems worth ruling out first on a dryer in University City:
- Takes Too Long to Dry
- Taking Too Long to Dry
- Exhaust Duct Clogged
- Restricted Exhaust Airflow
- Dryer Venting Improperly
- Lint Trap / Screen Damaged
Known weak spots on Blomberg dryers
- Clothes still damp after a full cycle
- Water tank warning light
- Dryer running hot
- Lint escaping the filter
Garage laundry often means a long vent run through a wall or the roof, and long runs collect lint quickly, which is behind many slow-drying complaints on a dryer here. Diagnosis covers the vent, the heating circuit and the belt, pulley and rollers, in that order.
