Avanti washers have their own weak points, and knowing them shortens the diagnosis. That's what a repair visit in Point Loma starts with. Some hillside homes have steep driveways or long stairways, which is worth mentioning if a large appliance may need to be moved. We're an independent repair company: you see a written estimate first, and finished repairs carry a 90-day parts and 30-day labor warranty.

Local factors for washer repair in Point Loma
Washer problems in Point Loma usually start where water comes in or goes out: scaled inlet screens from hard water, a clogged pump filter, or a worn drain pump. Machines in a beach-area garage also see rust on the cabinet and hinge hardware sooner than most.
Problems worth ruling out first on a washer in Point Loma:
- Not Draining
- Not Filling with Water
- Filling Too Slowly
- Overfilling with Water
- Not Draining Completely
- Drain Pump Failure
Known weak spots on Avanti washers
- Not draining
- Not spinning
- Leaking from the base
- Timer not advancing
Portable Avanti washers drain by pump or gravity depending on the model, and many draining problems come from hose height or a kinked hose rather than a failed pump. Twin-tub units have separate wash and spin timers and motors, so one side can fail while the other works. Replacement parts are inexpensive, but the low price of the machine means larger repairs often do not make sense.
