On the DCS side of the oven market, DCS indoor wall ovens and range ovens were made before Fisher & Paykel folded the indoor line into its own brand, so most are older units.

When a DCS oven breaks down, it is usually bake igniter failure, convection fan faults, oven thermostat drift, or door hinge wear. The symptoms that bring us out include oven not lighting, temperatures off, and convection fan not working. On an older DCS gas oven, a glowing igniter with no flame usually means the igniter has weakened. A door that will not close tightly lets heat escape and can make the oven seem underpowered.

Most DCS ovens in service are older units, so part availability is checked before quoting. Weak igniters and thermostat drift are common. A repair makes sense when parts are available and the rest of the oven is sound.

Near the coast, damp air can slow a gas oven's igniter and corrode its terminals over time. We check the bake and broil circuits separately, because they fail independently.

DCS parts move through Fisher & Paykel's parts network, and while grill parts are reasonably available, components for discontinued indoor ranges may take time or need confirming before we quote.
