Most calls for LG cooktops come down to induction power board failure, radiant element or limiter failure, touch control lockup, or gas igniter faults. The symptoms that bring us out include induction zone not heating, touch controls not responding, and radiant element stuck on high. On an LG induction cooktop that flashes but will not heat, test the pan with a magnet first, because non-magnetic cookware will not be detected. If a touch-control cooktop locks up or beeps constantly, a spill on the glass or a stuck key is often the trigger.

LG induction zones use a power board that also senses the pan, so a zone that flashes and will not heat can be cookware, an overheated board or a failed coil, and the cabinet ventilation underneath has to be checked before parts are ordered. Radiant elements have limiters that cut power when the glass gets too hot, and a failing limiter can look like a dead element. A cracked glass top usually means replacing the whole top assembly.

In condo kitchens, a built-in cooktop sits in tight cabinetry, so ventilation beneath it matters, especially in units without air conditioning. Before quoting, we confirm the cookware, the supply voltage and any error code the cooktop shows.
